Hey Everybody,
Unfortunately my first post is not some amazing print but rather an extremely frustrating hot end problem.
So we assembled the Rostock a couple of weeks ago printed the fan shrouds and a few key chain things.
We decided we wanted to upgrade the rostock by adding a Pico hot end.
We wired her up and everything was working fine. We completed the autotune etc.
Than we tried to preform our first print and the hot end got jammed so we did the whole heat it up melt the plastic routine to no avail.
However at some point during this process something happened that caused the hot end to no longer heat up.
THus, we re installed the seemecnc hotend and observed the same problem.
So we searched through all of the forums for trouble shooting. At the time we did not have a multimeter so assumed it must have been one of the fuses.
so we replaced all of the fuses again the hot end will not heat. however the led light on the bed and the led on the board are both lighting up as it was before and the themistor is reading correctly. In addition to that the computer graph in repetier says that full power is being sent to the hot end.
SO we thought maybe their was a lack of power through the jst clips were interfering with power transmission so i eliminated the clips and twisted thee wires together just as a test.
Again the same issue.
I am really not sure what else to do any help would be extremely appreciated. I just want to get printing lol.
Hope everyone is having more success than I am,
Bryan

Re: Hot End Will not Heat Up
You really need a multimeter to troubleshoot a problem such as this.
With a multimeter you can trace where the 12V is not present.
