Assembly question-U joints

OK guys, first question. Assembly is going great so far. I just completed the U joints on the cheapskates and the metal joints are nice and free on the axle but once I install the spring clip on the axle, it loads or squeezes the joints inward and prevents them from rotating freely. Is this OK? Will this effect the arms from moving freely and cause binding? Thats where I'm stopping for the night. Thanks in advance for any input.

Is OKAY.
Lightly lube the u-joints with silicone oil, graphite, lithium white grease, etc.

Got it! I do have some graphite power lube and will use that. Thanks for the quick response! This is one of the reasons I went with this printer, great community support!

I'm sure you know this, but for the benefit of anyone lurking this thread in the future...
Never use graphite AND a liquid lubricant. It turns into anti-lubricant mud and is bad

I used WD-40 300052 Specialist Dirt and Dust Resistant Dry Lube PTFE spray on mine, and it worked extremely well. This product had a lot of positive reviews, so I gave it a shot. I like that it's clean (invisible) and does not attract dirt.
