Problem with same layer every time!
I have been trying to figure out this problem for weeks, (I attatched some photos for reference and the stl file). Here is a list of facts and some of the problems I am running into:
• The print head seems to do one of two things at the same height every time.
o The print head will either go too high and the filament wont stick.
o Or it will shift the whole print one direction causing the rest of the print to be misaligned.
• The errors seem to happen right after the center area reaches its max height and the corners begin to print to their final height.
• This seems to only happen with this model and any other model will not run into any problems.
• The belts are not stripped and they are properly tightened.
• I have used multiple settings and many different slicers, same result.
I am going crazy! Does anyone know what is happening?

Have not experienced this. But your pulleys may be shifting on the motor shafts...

Re: Problem with same layer every time!
Run the model through netfab to see if it has errors. If the model has issues then it doesn't matter which slicer you use. You say the printer is fine with different models so machine error is unlikely.
Hope that helps.

Re: Problem with same layer every time!
I down loaded your files, sliced the stl in cura, and really dont see anything obvious. I really cant tell anything from your picture either. But when you said that the print gets off set....Now there may be something. What material are you printing in? Could it be you are getting snagged up on the top layers or something??

Thanks for all your help. If you do get a successful print would you mind posting the sliced file and your settings?

Re: Problem with same layer every time!
Would re flashing the firmware be a way to rule out any problems?
Re: Problem with same layer every time!
Sorry, work got in the way and i could not print the part yet.
Have you figured it out? If not i will fire the printer up in 4-5 hours.

Re: Problem with same layer every time!
I've moved my printer into a different room and am going to re calibrate everything and retry the print also. Im starting to think that using multiple slicers and computers may have done something to the eeprom and resetting everything to default and calibrating will confirm if that is the problem or not.

And it went picasso on me.
i must have knocked some of the clips in a hurry. The glass bed moved.
