First startup, M119 doesn't do a thing.

Ok,so i've just finished my V2 build and installed the firmware and repetier host. But when i type M119 in the G-code box,like the manual states, nothing happens..
I tried to press the home button,then it moved all the way to the top and hit the end-stops and went down a little bit.
So what's wrong? Did i forget something? please help, i need this puppy running
*edit: nevermind.. silly me, didn't turn on the log.. was expecting something to happen when i typed that code..
