Well... My 2 cents is... Consider looking around here to see how some folks cleaned up and or upgraded their power supply. Also strongly consider (AKA do this part!) Getting the connectors that are mentioned in the manual. I do not hard wire the hotend, you will need to service it and fans and the connectors are a huge help. Also check around and try to pick up a dial indicator for calibration. The method in the manual works, but the dial calibrator is both easier and faster. If you need a holder let me know and I can send you some files for it. Take your time running the wires up the supports. It is not a fast or fun part of the build. But it is well worth it once you finish. Also keep your wires clean in the lower bay. It is a fair amount of wires in a pretty small space.

Be sure to start a build tread also. There are a TON of great folks here who will lend a hand if you hit any snags.
I am sure I forgot something but that will help out a bit I hope.

Having just finished my build, I feel compelled to share my pain. Absolutely worth cleaning up the power supply wiring. Removing all the unneeded wires and connectors helps reduce the amount of chaos in the base. I opted to add isolation mounts for the axis motors. Someone on this forum sells them, but I didn't know that at the time and got mine on ebay.

The manual is good, but not perfect. You will have some pieces that have been revised and won't quite look like the photographs. The inventory pages of the manual are useful, but the laser cut melamine sheets are now different, so parts identification by sheet number won't match. Just take your time. You may need to visit the forum for direction on installing the Onyx heated bed. Manual shows up through v5. Mine shipped in August with a v6. Another user has already asked for assistance on a v7. I'm guessing you'll be receiving a v7. There is a thread here to guide you through the differences.

My biggest regret is that I did not paint the cut edges of the melamine. Does it need it? The SeeMeCNC crew says no. Maybe it doesn't need it, but it would look nicer if I had. The trick is that if you are going to paint the edges, do it before removing the masking. Separate all of the parts from the sheets and spray them while all that glorious masking is still on!

I think the "optional" connectors for the hot end are a very good idea. I put JST connectors on the fans and will go back and add something for the heater/thermistor wires.
