It also freezes my lcd screen until i restart the printer. On Repetier Host these lines in the log keep showing 14:58:29.029 : start

Its a brand new SD card with nothing on it and I have had this issue with different cards. I have still not been able to have a successful print while using the sd card. what could be causing this?

A couple of possible solutions I have seen posted somewhere on this forum:
1) Make sure your LCD ribbon cables are kept away and definately not touching your stepper wires near the Rambo. This can cause problems during the print.
2) Format the card, or try another card. What happens if you plug it in while blank?

Cheers,

It is a brand new sd card. Took it out of the package and then I plugged it into the lcd screen and got this problem

What sort of SD Card.
Not all cards work, there are 2 different SD Card interfaces and they have to support the older I2C interface for the arduino to work with them, and there is no way to know if they do from the package/card.
For example all Kingston cards will not work, and most newer high capacity cards won't either. I usually stick to the smaller san disk cards, they do work.

Then most likely it's either not formatted in a supported format or you have a bad SDCard interface on your RAMBO.

How do I fix this if its a bad interface with my RAMBO?

You contact support, and if they agree they replace the RAMBO

check your LCD header. I got mine inserted wrongly (B header) and it gave me the same error. Once i plugged it correctly the error went away

Whats the correct way to insert the header? I tried changing the orientation of all the headers and the screen either wouldnt work or my printer would get commands to home the towers over and over again

should give you an idea how the cables should be... on the rambo, red stripe on the right, make sure pins line up with the plugs and this pic should give you a good idea of which plug goes to where on the rambo

I do have the ribbons on correct. I talked with support and they have agreed to just send me a new screen.

I am having the same exact issue. I insert the card and the screen goes from the home screen to the Repetier 0915 screen. I am positive I connected the ribbon cables correctly. I am also using the SD card that came with my printer kit.
