hot end and bed not heating

Post by timochief »

My temp on extruder is showing 366 when I turn printer on . It then goes to def . No lights showing hot end heat and bed heat.

Check the thermistor wiring. RAMBo can't read extruder temp so won't turn on heat.

If you have a multimeter, you can check the thermistor circuit by unplugging the lead from the RAMBo and reading the thermistor's resistance which should be about 100kohm.

I had exact same issue...same value of 366 even. Continuity test (stuck pins in the quick connector) proved that there was a short. I figured the leads of the thermistor were probably touching somewhere inside the RTV...luckly I looked at my poor crimping job (where the connector meets RAMBO) and realized I had a strand of copper wire that was touching the other crimp pin. removed it and I was in business.
