Figured I'd post this. It's not complex, or really interesting, but it is 18" tall in one print. I ordered my Rostock with an extra 36 inches of height, but so far haven't used any of it, until last night.

Printed at .2mm layer height, 20% infill, 230C, took about 12 hours to print, started it before leaving work, came in today and it was done.

I'd had the real thing made out of stainless steel a few year ago but I want something for when these eventually go on my car. The bearing block was borrowed by a co-worker to show his freshman engineering class, but otherwise I have everything to put it together now.

That thing is huge. The print looks really good!

Do you have any problems with retractions or filament feeding since your bowden tube is so long?

That is the tallest "stock" printer I have seen!

Whats the vehicle application? Looks like a trailing arm for something. So the printed piece is for display purposes?

Usually retracts aren't much of an issue, but I usually print at 95% infill, but here with 20% infill the area where the hole was printed had some issues with the skin being broken. My bowden is only about 10" longer than the one that comes with the stock kit, so it doesn't amplify that bad.

Yeah, when I bought it I had ideas that would require a bit more height than what it came with, I tried asking how to get 12" more than stock, but somehow miscommunicated and got 36" of height instead, I'm not complaining, except when I have to tension the belts or transport it.

The vehicle application is a center control arm for a 2000 Mercury Cougar, or any CDW27 car such as the Ford Contour/Mondeo. I designed the part three years ago, had it fabricated two years ago and never got around to reinforcing the sub frame to handle the extra stress this thing will exert on it, I'll have more time next spring to do so and it will be going in my car. But since then I've had it on my desk at work and it's pretty impressive, so I decided to print this out to replace it.
