Excellent work! Where'd you find the mesh loom material?

I should have the final assembly chapter (wiring) done today and I'll get it uploaded as soon as it's done. You might want to download the current version - the paging will be better.

Thanks for taking the time to do the videos and for being brave enough to beta test my 2nd edition.

Edit: FYI, SeeMeCNC injection molds all the plastic parts on-site as well as laser cuts all the Melamine parts. There's very little in the kit that are "buyout" items.

With your speech cadence and accent, it's almost like watching an episode of the Red Green Show. Awesome work man!

I found the wire mesh loom at a store here called Princess Auto of all places.
I've been in software QA and testing for 15 years. Reviewing documentation is nothing new

Having the top plate flipped won't cause you any problems at all. You'll just have the extruder mounted on the left instead of the right. That's actually how it's shown on the SeeMeCNC website.

The full assembly portion is done now and all of the ugly paging errors are gone.

Just got to the point in the video where you've mounted the EZStruder. Because you installed the top plate flipped, the hole for the filament is now on the back side of the location where you've got the EZ installed. You'll need to move it to the other location in order to get the filament feed hole lined up with the top of the extruder. Sorry!

I was just gonna drill a new hole.

I'm about to mount the Rambo. As it happens, I have some 2mm spaced male headers. Instead of soldering the fan wires directly to the board, I get to keep the plug and just use headers Rather happy about that luck.

That is what I did as well.

Most people don't have two pin headers handy and I'm not about to specify more "additional" stuff to give people something else to whine about.

Well that didn't work as well as I had hoped.
When booting, the 'NOZ' value flashes 366 (not a negative number), then both NOZ and BED go to 'def'.
While trying to examine the hotend thermistor, after untapeing it (do we really need to wrap the whole end it tape???), the termistor pulled out of the hot-end.

I don't know even know what to do now.

When only the bed is plugged it, it works fine. Even heats up when I put my fingers over the top and bottom.
So, it's clearly the hot-end that is messed up. But I can't see another. Heck it's even been pulled out of the hot end and I can that there are no leads touching or anything.

Can I buy new thermistor direct from SeeMeCNC? I'm guessing I've screwed up this one now.

over 300 = wires shorted together.. negative means open or broken wire..
so you had the 2 wires touching... and its fine the thermistor pulled out of the hole, just fish it back in and kapton tape it to the crimp so it doesnt move, not like you should be poking around the heating block when you got the machine going so as long as its in there and cannot move, you will be fine

I can't find any short anywhere.
And, shipping costs for one theremistor is twice as much as the thermistor itself. Double sadness!

Yep, fixed it. <geez>
So, while I wait for the RTV to set now that I've re-installed the thermistor in the hot-end, I went through the first steps of verifying the software and operation. I guess it was a good cookie day.
I'll be posting Episode 6 of my build log soon.

I guess this means I'll do the final calibration tomorrow after I re-install the hot-end once the RTV has set (again).

I sorta might've could've happened to have maybe forgot to perchance put heat shrink tubing over both leads before, errrm, sleeving them. This is on the other end where you plug the lead into the motherboard. The hot-end was fine.

I hate it when that happens!

I try to blame it on my wife for distracting me with dinner or some other nuisance like that.
