Forum stylesheet should use fixed-width font for code tags

I don't know if there's a better place to ask this, but consider the following image:

This is how it looks when pasted into the forums:

Code: Select all

[HC] Energy at DR=131.000 with trim: 0.683
[PD] [Z]
[PD] 0.287
[PD] 0.276 1.086 0.276
[PD] 1.083 1.083
[PD] 0.000
[PD] 1.086 1.086
[PD] [X] 0.287 1.083 0.287 [Y]
[PD] 0.276
The same thing happens if you try to paste a table with rows and columns. Rather than being in a straight vertical line, the column boundaries wander left and right according to the widths of the characters they contain.

It would be way easier to interpret formatted stuff like the above if the code tag used a fixed-width font. It would also make comments that aren't on their own lines look a lot prettier because they would always line up.

While I'm at it, if you can install some plugin that would do syntax highlighting, like this one, it would make the code tag even more useful.

Thanks!

It's all the different themes. Somebody needs to clean house on these forums, and make the themes work properly.

They should just get rid of most of the themes. I use "Metro Blue" and it works great, maybe everyone else can list the themes they have here and if they work well or not. I know the stupid mobile theme has to go. No matter what I do it always reverts to the mobile theme on my Surface Pro 2 when I don't want it.

I'm using "Artodia: Black"

Also reiterating how cool it would be to have syntax hilighting.

I volunteer to make one normal and one mobile theme working perfectly so we can 86 the rest. Deal? Just make a temporary admin account for me and I promise not to inject skynet software into the forum.
