Changed extruder to the printed one.. worked great.. now i need to tweak settings to get better infill results, etc.

That looks cool! Like it has been laying around for a lot of years.
Do you know if it can be polished and made nice and shiny or not.
Irregardless, I am glad that you finally got the filament to work, can you tell us what printed extruder you used?

Thanks for the link, the skull they show looks great! If that filament was not so expensive I would order it now, but it will go on my wish list!

So here it is before the rock tumbler...

and this is about 12 hours in the rock tumbler with a bunch of dry wall screws.

smooths, and brings out a good shine... i may consider buying some polish to see how i can get it... although this was a first run, and its imperfect I may try

Thanks for the before & after pics, it looks great. I think if you increase the number of perimeters it should help at the top.

so thats a part of what i need to resolve with bronze printing... either it was too hot or something last time because as it ran across the infill it was falling down in to the voids.. so i couldnt even get it to bridge, so i think that is why it doesnt look good on top because it was also falling in to the infill.

its crazy how just a rock tumbler with screws can do all that ...

Have you tried to print one with support?

i havent.. that was my first print that i had ever done with bronze that actually finished without jamming..

Supports would probably fix your problem with the top along with more perimeters and more top infill.

actually just tried to print a few attempts at an abraham lincoln STL file. None of them extruded enough in the first layer. None of them came without dragging filament etc all over... i had to cancel each of them before even 2 layers got done.
its really just a disaster trying to print with this stuff

Have you tried printing a skirt or a brim to prime the nozzle?

there is a built in 2 border nozzle priming thing... and i make sure prior to it getting to temp i manually feed a little through... so i dont think its that.
i think its just a combination of a lot of settings, which i cant really seem to dial in...
so strange sometimes i see print at 50-60mm and others say print at 10mm. speed that is.
other places as well have a nozzle temp range from 200-225... others yet have bed temps from 0-60.

i think overall my biggest problem is consistency... it seems like im not laying out in a nice consistent layer... and retractions seem to cause issues as well.

went back to the original seemecnc extruder... bronze wasnt even printing right most of the time, and ABS was a disaster... so i dont know what ill do with bronze with the original feeder.. gotta figure something out.
