Hey all,

I've been interested in 3d printing for a few years now, but finally bought my Rostock v2 max in October. It's pretty much complete at this point, I just finished levelling the bed. It's been awesome!

Welcome. You are going to love your Rostock and be impressed by its capabilities, even when bone stock.

I put on some stepper motor dampers, and have been crimping connectors on wires where it makes sense.

I'm really glad that I got the max, because I've been able to learn so much during the build process!

You bought it in October and are just finishing it now?! Oh man! When I got mine I could barely stand the 2 weeks it took to get mine put together!

Anyway, congratulations and welcome. :)

Yeah, I could barely stand it too! I typically have an hour or so a night to work on it, so it was slow going.

Well, she's all calibrated... and I'm about to print the first PEEK fan shroud!

It looks like the nozzle is oozing a bit... I'm guessing that's normal? My plan is to extrude 20mm or so, and then wipe the nozzle right as I hit the run button after the bed has heated up all the way.

Man the nozzle gets up to temp fast!
