Question about 12v wires

For the rambo connector, I took the four twisted yellow and black wires from the same p/s connector. Do I need to worry about where the two remaining y&b wires come from? Or can I grab any yellow or black wire?

Crack the power supply case, and you'll find that all wires of a given color come from the same place. So, yes: they're all interchangeable. Choose the ones that are long enough for your needs.

That's not always the case, usually there are multiple "rails" for 12v which each have their own circuitry so that they can each supply a lower current than a single huge rail. I would personally pick a yellow and black pair from several different connectors for the 7 required wires for that reason alone.

As above, depends on the PSU.

If it's the stock kit then it only has 1 12v rail, so in this instance it doesn't matter which you take it from.

I think I'll be upgrading my PSU for this exact reason, I'm getting a huge amount of noise on the 12v line, and judging from other posts on here, it seems to be a little underpowered, which is never a good thing.
