After I finish a print job, my rostock v2 max goes nuts on me and the hot end ends up travelling way out to somewhere past the y axis until the y axis arms get stuck and can't move anymore.
I tried searching the forums for answers, but I did not come up with any. Otherwise, the prints look fine.
I'm using the latest rambo firmware and repetier host for mac.
Homing after print job
Re: Homing after print job
I had that probelm with marlin and an old home built rostock. It was because it wasn't homing all axes. There was a variable that needed to be set to indicate it must home all axes.

Re: Homing after print job
Okay, i'll root around in the c code to look for that. Any idea where that variable is set?
Re: Homing after print job
I have barely had a need to poke around in there, but I would do a search for "hom" and you should stumble upon it.

Re: Homing after print job
It's got nothing to do with the printer at all. I'm willing to bet you've got the "go to park position" checkbox set in the host software. Do yourself a favor and install MatterControl for MacOS.

Re: Homing after print job
My printer is doing something similar. After it finishes a print it will go to the home position then it drives to the max position between the Y and X tower. I haven't looked into it and I am just homing it to re-position it. I am running Repetier-Host but have plans to move to Matter Control and will see if the odd behavior goes away.
