Rostock Max v2 transportability
Hi, I have this machine built and tested. But now I am going to spend 2 months on the other side of the US with no family, so I'll have lots of free time. I'm trying to figure out a way that I can break this machine down, wrap it in bubble wrap and pack it in a pelican case. My concern is introducing the "high resistance" situations the manual discusses. Is it ok to put QD connectors at the top and bottom of the towers? and can anyone recommend any?

A connector like this http://www.parts-express.com/molex-6-pi ... mpaign=pla will handle everything except for the hotend wiring. for the hotend I would use something like this http://www.pololu.com/product/925.

Thanks Eaglezsoar, My hope is that I can put the connectors at the top of each of the towers so I do not have to cut or de/re-solder anything when I occasionally take it with me or move.Eaglezsoar wrote:Welcome to the Forum!

The ones recommended by Mac the Knife should work fine for what you want to do.roadhog481 wrote:Thanks Eaglezsoar, My hope is that I can put the connectors at the top of each of the towers so I do not have to cut or de/re-solder anything when I occasionally take it with me or move.Eaglezsoar wrote:Welcome to the Forum!
