Metal Bearings

Post by midget214 »

I have recently received my H1 and I am in the process of building it. I am at the point assembling the bearing assemblies. I found though that the axles are a bit to tight (I literally could not slide the bearing over the axle no matter how hard I tried). So what I tried was to sand the axle down a little. Basically I used my Dremel and just sanded down the glossy-ness of the axle, and the bearing fitted perfectly. Its not loose, but it is not super tigh either. I would just like to know if doing it like this is ok (would it have any real effects on the bearings by sanding down the axles a bit)

Hey Midget214,

I found 75% of the axles would fit or would fit with a little force and the other 25% needed to have one end lightly sanded. So far I have not noticed any issues with doing this.
