Can't seem to reach 235 with extruder

I wanted to step up my ABS print from 228 to 235 to see if the layers would stick together better.

But it reached a peak temp of 233, and would not get any hotter.

Right now I believe I have the two 8 ohm resistors in parallel. [whatever shipped with the early V2's]

Can I put two 5.6 ohm in parallel and not draw too much current from the RAMBO? Is this a good idea? Or are two 6.8's better.
I have assorted 2W resistors, are 3W required as a minimum?

Or, is there one of those heater cartridges that fit the stock hot-end?

3w seems extremely undersized. Isn't the requirement something more like 20-25w?

If you're just looking to squeeze out a few extra degrees, consider wrapping your hot end in kapton.

The supplied resistors are, I believe, 3W. Since they are being used as heaters, and are basically 'joined' to the hot end which is the 'heat sink', you can get away with overloading them. However, that might contribute to the high failure rate of them.

I still recommend kapton as the easiest and fastest solution.

I will probably do both, wrap in kapton for now, and order a cartridge. Although I am interested in those cyclops hot-ends that do two filaments with one nozzle so maybe I should make sure the cartridge works in those, too.
