Nice! Looks like its 'beefed up'. Do you have any more pictures of it and what are the main differences between the older model and this model?

The four main parts are now injection molded nylon. This makes the "Steve's Extruder" indestructible under normal use. The new parts are much stronger and more rigid than the old parts.

These extruder parts replace the similar clear ABS plastic parts of the current extruder. All H series printers and "Steve's Extruder" today and forward will ship with these new parts.

Very nice !! I have always loved the extruder design. So nice compared to some of those 'minimalistic' designs out there. Now If I could only slap another stepper on there and have a dually .. But I will have to definitely being adding this when it gets out

To be totally honest with you guys, I don't see much of a difference at all between old frame and the new one minus the color. I never had an issue with the clear frame, but thought I would still go ahead upgrade. But as far as flex and stiffness, its pretty much exactly the same. Except for looking so darn cool, I don't think I could recommend to anyone to spend the money unless you just have to have a black frame..

I just assembled mine.
I'm pretty sure the difference, besides color, is that the new one is made from a stronger material.

Tip: Attach the stepper motor BEFORE assembling the rest. Otherwise you'll have to take it apart again when you realize that the drive gears obscure one of the stepper mounting holes.
