Strange print problems

Hi Everyone
<I am a noob so please bear with me>

I am having a problem with my prints deforming. The attached photo is of a 60mm OD 50mm ID X 20mm tall sleeve. as you can see when i take it off the printer it is smaller in the middle than at either end. A nice effect, apart from the fact I needed parallel sides ;)

I am using PLA @200°C with a bed temp of 70°C at 25mm/s. I have tried both Slic3r and Cura Engine, both have similar outcomes.

Any advice thankfully received....

:D :D :D :D :D PROBLEM SOLVED :D :D :D :D :D

Just after I posted I realised what the problem was, the item was not sticking to the bed properly because it was a tall section that had a relatively thin wall.

I realised this when I placed a rule across the base of the item only to find lots of light either side :!: , clearly letting me know the base was more conical than flat :o . I added a 6mm brim to the first layer (using slic3r) and hey presto a perfectly straight dimensionally accurate component  .

Today lesson. Add a brim to tall or thin walled objects :ugeek:
