Hi,
I added RTV to the outside of the heating resistors to keep them in place. Please check it out and let me know if this is ok.
Thanks.

I coated the thermistor leads and put kaptan tape on the resistor ends. I still need to solder the ends together. Is there any sure way to keep the thermistor ends connected? I looked at the wiki and it doesn't really show how to use the new hot end to keep the resistors from falling out. Seems like I have a couple more questions than I thought I would.
Thanks again,
jim

That looks like it should work. The RTV should do a good job keeping the resistors in place.
I don't think you want to solder any of the connections on the hot end. It gets hot enough the solder can melt. I used crimp on connectors and it's working pretty well so far.

Thanks,
I was reading about using lamp wire for the heating resistors and the thermistor, would regular 18g stranded work ok?

Thanks,
I have plenty of 18 and different color heatshrink so I don't get the wires mixed up.
