Hi all! Ive bene having problems finding the I need in the forums, thanks in advance for any help.

The slic3r settings downloaded from seemecnc.com have PLA heated to 210. Why is that? I thought PLA should be heated to 180 ish.

The site lists the maximum bed diameter as 150mm, but the settings come with 200mm. 150mm seems too small since I've printed several thing bigger than that on accident, what's the actual size?

I have a version 1 Orion, is adding a cooling fan as easy as attaching the blower to the wires up top and printing a shroud? Will it support 2 fans?

I'm about to build a rostock max v2, but I want to use the e3d v6 and volcano I've been reading about in the forums. Are the Rostock max and orion 12v or 24v? How would i find this kind of thing in the future without hassling people in the forums? I looked in the manual and on the specs on the site. Should i just crack open the printer and look at the electronics?

It's not as simple as PLA should be printed at X degrees, different plastic from different suppliers and even different colored plastics vary in the actual temperature they like to be printed at, crappy filament can even vary dramatically as to required temp over a single roll. I've seen crappy Chinese sourced PLA filament that required as high as 230C to print reliably.
This is coupled with the fact that depending how they mounted your thermistor and the batch it came from there is no way to know that 210C reported is actually 210C and it's not uncommon for it to be off by 10C, you need to check the actual hot end temperature with a thermocouple to validate the reading from the thermistor. See Me might do this for the Orion I have no idea, the difference can be addressed in the firmware.

Given these 210C seems like a safe number to use for most PLA plastic.
Practically though for the best quality PLA prints you want to run the plastic as cool as you reliably can, it greatly reduces stringing and other heat related effects.
