Power but no movement

Post by jbinion »

Hi,
I have just finished and and nothing is working. I am using the TB6550 four axis board. I have checked the wiring from the diagram, black green blue red, and there is power to the board, checked the lpt port and it is working with the configuration that I downloaded. but the motors will not lock up or act like there is an power going to them.

Yes,
I tried to reset the output signals and and disabling the active low but still no movement on z or y. I am getting one direction on x, when output active low is enabled it moves right , disabled it moves to the left.

I am beginning to suspect the board is bad. I tried to switch the inputs and all the motors work on the x axis input in one direction depending on active low enabled or not. but not on any of the other inputs.

Another oddity is that it moves in one direction very fast but in the other really slow.

Never mind, looks like I blew the parallel port on the computer.
