THe crimps on my hotend had the heatshrink melted off and touched metal, psu shut off . i dissconnected everything from it and try to plug it back in and it doesn't turn on , nothing. Is it shot? I have another PSU right next to it but I don't feel like re-wiring it.

Sounds like a dead PSU. Although they are short protected, they seem to be a one way trip if they do get shorted

Ok well I just replaced it , It did short out several times before.
