Power Off resets settings

Post by 3amjosh »

I've got a couple questions if anyone can help. If I power the Rostock down and power it back on, the Z-stop is reset and way too high. I have to reset the Z stop and go through the calibration again. The Horizontal Radius also doesn't stay the same so I have to reset and go through the process of setting each tower adjustment.

Is there a setting to ensure the PLA fan cuts on when I'm printing. I keep forgetting and it won't cut on unless I manually do that in the control panel.

If the eeprom settings are reset on power off you probably have a bad Rambo board, or eeprom is disabled in your firmware. I'd call support and discuss it.

I don't run the standard firmware so I can't confirm, but there are two fan outputs, one of them usedd to be designated for the peek fan, it turns on when the Hotend does and turns off once the temperature is below 50C. In older firmware that was the Heat2 output. It should be easy enough to see, watch the flashing lights when you heat the Hotend, you should see the one for the heater Heat1 and the one for the peek fan output bith turn on.
