Adjusting for different bed heights

Post by BigRedhawk »

Hi Guys,

I've had my Rostock Max V2 for about a month now and am still trying to find what to put on the bed for the best adhesion. I've tried all of the usual things (painter's tape, kapton tape, glue stick, hairspray, etc...) and have had various success with each depending on the print. My question is, is there a way to adjust for the different bed heights in the Mattercontrol software for having tape on the bed vs not? As it stands right now, I am setting the new Z-height manually each time I switch from tape to non-tape. It would be nice to have different printing profiles set up so that I can simply say what kind of adhesive is on the print bed and it automatically adjusts for the new bed height.

Thanks in advance!

Do a search for PEI in the forum. Once you add this to the bed surface and adjust your Z height, you should be good to go without tape or glue or whatever.

there is a parameter called Z Offset offset.

Works pretty well when saved with the material properties.

It is listed unter the slic3r settings, but works well with MC-Slicer engine...
