Looks good, are you going to keep it on the rolling toolbox? Seems like a great idea for a machine stand.

I especially like the printed drag chain.

I almost bought from FLA but changed my mind at the last second. Partly due to what I heard about their sometimes lack of customer service. I also wanted a dual ball screw mill and they did not have a model that fit what I was looking for overall.
I am looking forward to seeing how you like the mill though. I got the gantry in today for my 21x37x8 mill, the base is following behind it shortly. What controller are you using? What sort of things do you intend to mill with it? Any plans to enclose it? I started out with a Shapeoko before I bought my bigger mill and even the small Shapeoko throws aluminum chips far and wide. I am enclosing the new mill and then the Shapeoko to help reduce the mess from all my milling.

Well anyhow the new mill looks really nice and I do look forward to seeing what you mill with it and how you like it. I admit, that was my favorite model and part of me still second guesses switches to another model, though so far I like what I am seeing on the mill i bought.

Don't forget to lock the casters when printing. Might even want to pick up some screw down feet. http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Duty-Levele ... B0037MK8XC You don't want it dancing around your garage while cutting.

i got locks on the casters but now that you mention it the surface of the tool box is pretty slick.. i might want to attach the extrusions to the surface.

I figured support last when i purchased, hoping that everything in the kit would arrive at once... and it did not. I am still waiting for nema34 motor mounts. I was sent nema23 which in itself has taken 2 weeks total to get me the replacement parts.

The kit i purchased comes with PMDX 126, but i also ordered pdmx-411 so i can run this thing with a touchscreen laptop.

I started with a little 2.25hp 1/4, 1/2" shank wood router. I think i wanted to start doing some sign making, other wood type stuff before i upgrade the spindle for metal.

where did you end up getting your machine? the guys who shipped my electronics at cncrouterparts.com seem really responsive to emails and inquiries.

Nate's customer service is not to great but he is one dude who runs and produces the mills.
He really has more business than he can handle and really should hire someone to help him but I don't know the net profit or if he can hire someone.
I gave him some business years ago for one of his mills and all worked out well.
