Fiberoptic splitter/couplers

I have been experimenting with making low cost fiber optic splitter/coupler for underwater ROV/AUV project. Some researchers had made coupler/splitter with acrylic and a cnc mini mill. So tried it with an Orion instead, it works, though I'd like to improve signal loss performance
https://www.dropbox.com/s/rkc4o3xr8x0qb ... o.jpg?dl=0. Trying to use a single low cost consumer TOSlink fiber cable, 30ft to 100ft for simultaneous data uplink/downlink on ROV. The print was very accurate in leaving a small void at the fiber intersection which is then filled with a clear epoxy, though i need to get the proper UV cure glue since when I mix the two part epoxy it forms small bubbles which scatter the light. Any ideas or suggestion on improvements would be great!

Generally for that kind of stuff first you need to first vacuum your epoxy to get the bubbles out.

thanks, now i remember like when you do those self car window crack repair, they have you pull the syringe plunger back to remove the air!

Odd I feel like I just watch this...He does some weird things on his channel. Might not be optical quality enough for your application though.

I have called these guys and their technical support is superb.
Let them know what your trying to do and they will have a product.
ASK for sample to test first.
