Does ABS print on anything cold?

I brought my H1.1 on vacation, left the heated bed behind, and only brought a roll of ABS.

What bed will ABS stick to that's not heated? I have some kapton tape, blue tape, and glass. Also access to stores/hardware stores for other options.

ABS will stick to Kapton/blue tape but don't plan on printing anything large, more the a 2"x2" or anything with thin walls, you will get bad warping, separating layers and rolled edges on the base.

Try to find a piece of acrylic or other type of plastic, maybe at a hobby/craft shop. Sometimes you can find them in picture frames, glass won't work at all with ABS. Last resort, use blue tape on something, and after you apply the blue tape, scrape it with the edge of a razor blade to remove some of the waxy surface and it should stick decent then.

I went with blue tape, scraped with a razor to reduce the amount of wax on the face, and it worked well enough to print some calibration objects and some of the smaller models.

Thanks!
