Hello from the fire pit called Arizona

Post by gwhunter280 »

I am in the process of assembling my Rostock Max v2 and would be close to being finished if it weren't for a thermistor not included in the package for the hot end. I used the one from the hot plate in the hot end and am now stuck waiting. I ended up ordering a 10 pack of them from Amazon that will be here Friday, so I hope to be up and running on the weekend. I come from the aerospace industry and hope the kits lack of parts isn't a sign of a QA nightmare to follow from this printer...

Seemecnc typically puts the tmist between a folded over post it note.
Did you see a sticky note?
Maybe it is hiding in there.

I am not sure that the bed tmist and the hot end one are the same.
You better check

My kit only came with one thermistor and only one ptfe sleeve for the hotbed, there was nothing included with the hotend. It was an issue on their part, I've checked everywhere too many times to count and it just isn't there. I am just hoping this printer is manufactured with better care than their checking of packaging the required components.

I hit you guys up to let you know, but I have already sourced the parts from elsewhere because I want to be printing this weekend. I know and understand that things can get overlooked, it just sucks it wasn't a bolt or nut I could go get at Ace Hardware. 100k thermistors arrived today, but I forgot to get extra PTFE sleeving for the hotbed. I am just going to RTV the whole lead and I think it will be okay.
