What are some of the best things to do for the stock machine? I already ordered the Astrosyn dampers. Looking for any feedback on what thing work great. Also liked at the build manual and see that there is a possibility of either getting kysan motors or automation technologies motors. Is there a difference between the accuracy of both?

both motors are the same in terms of resolution. best mods i've done so far are anti-lash straps (printed my own out of ninjaflex), e3d v6 and smoothieboard/fsr/autocalibration setup.

If you do ABS, the heated chamber was a huge change for me.
Threaded thermistor, XT60 and JST connectors.

if you are new to 3D printing, run it stock for now, it will get you miles ahead of the game. many people throw stuff on the machine when they don't know what to do with the changes. or its not running corre3clty and they think a part change will make it right. the seeme rostocks run grat and will print pla and abs with no mods whatsoever.
if you are going to print PLA mostly the stock hotend works fine, even better for ABS.
when you need an all metal hotend you can upgrade. for now save your money for filament and maybe an LED light ring. that would probably be the only thing I would add on at the beginning, tricklaser has them.

I would build it stock and run for awhile to get comfortable with it, then start doing mods/upgrades.
You will be farther ahead in the long run, IMHO

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like i'm going to order the led ring right away and thumbscrews for the endstops. This is my 4th 3d printer so I'm by no means a rookie. Started with a prusa i3 rework, then went to a makerfarm i3v 8", then a kossel mini, and not the huge rostock max v2. Looking for simple mods to start with so I don't have rip the whole thing apart to replace something. I was thinking of putting a 12v voltage relay in between the rambo and heated bed that way 12v doesn't need to go through the rambo to the heated bed. The relay only turns on when the rambo tells it to. I have used one on my makerfarm 8" and it helped considerably.

Run a few extra wires up the towers in case you decided to run multiple hotends/extruders/lights later on.
This is nice to have as-well or just make your own quick release harness:
