Hello everyone!

We are printing out the test cube with ABS.

1. Every time we click "Slice with Slic3r", it will tell us G-code not found

2. When preheating the rod, no matter which degree we set it to, it will fall back to 200 and start printing while heating up to the temperature we set

3. Like showed in the picture, the quality is really bad and we expected it better

Are you sure the filament is ABS? Might be mislabeled. The bed side of your test print is strange, looking over extruded and over heated.

Wow, that's kinda a disappointing first print.

Well, the good news is that your Rostock is capable of some outstanding prints.

The not so great news, is that that you're going to have to spend some time getting to know the software and settings.

Pull up a copy of geneb's assembly manual, and follow every step starting on chapter 18, page 165 for the calibration steps, then chapter 19 for your first print.

Be sure and take your time, and try to understand each step that is outlined in the manual.

As Earthbound has already mentioned, PLA and ABS require different settings to print.
