H1.1 Assembly Manual - Estimate

Post by Paul Kelley »

Is there a estimate of when the official assembly manual for the H1.1 will be ready? Are we talking about a week, a month? With my lack of experience with this sort of thing I need more than what's available so far.

Hey, I'm not the right guy to answer this, but lurking around I stumbled on to some things that might interest you:

H-1.1 Build Video

H-1 Mechanical Assembly Manual (Not for the H1.1 -- but I imagine a lot of stuff will be the same or similar.)

H-1.1 input (Worth keeping an eye on, I bet.)

Hopefully, one of the mods will be along to answer your question, if not, you can try emailing them, they've been pretty responsive to me in the past. Best of luck! ;)

I think I'm going to try my best with the video and H1 assembly manual. My wife is getting on my case about spending the money and having nothing to show for it.

The JPGs here tell you everthing the H1 Mechanical Assembly manual doesn't (the spots where updates occurred). I wish this url would have been posted here in the forums more...took awhile before I landed there... http://seemecnc.org/download/H1-1/SeeMe ... s%20Lists/

The video there is helpful for the table assembly as well.

Paul, I'm working on it but all good things take time! The H-1.1 is similar to the H-1 though. I'll try to post differences as I go in the H-1.1 input thread linked above.

regards,
Michael

Here's the link to the "differences" thread. I think you'll find it useful as it evolves and the manual is wrapped up. It adds a lot of time to the build when you have to document parts and take photos.

cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael,

I have been following you on "the zone" for a long time, and admire your work a LOT! In fact, I got on the campaign and got the H1.1 w/ mach when it became available. I have since recieved all the goodies, and am now ready for the build. I cannot wait for your manual! I just started my own fabrication business, and have been wanting to be able to prototype more easily. Just got a CNC plasma, and one of these days I will be converting my LMS SX2, as well. I need to build a CNC router soon too, I'm starting to see... Anyways, Thank you for all of your hard work, and inspiration!

Regards,

Kent

P.s. I don't fly fish, so I had my buddy buy one or your reels, and we built it together!

Thanks Kent, I appreciate the nice feedback! Sounds like you have some nice toys. I'd love a CNC plasma!

Anyway, take a look at the H-1.1 Differences thread in this forum. We should be posting the next batch of chapters this week. Basically, my son is using the H-1.1 as his senior high school individual research project and as he builds we both take the photos and I do the writing for the manual. So far, the build has been remarkably similar tot he H-1 with a few nuances of course.

cheers,
Michael
