It's been a loooong time. ....A long time...

STOP. Before you go any further, if you don't get the reference in the topic title, educate yourself HERE.
(if that geeky reference doesn't set the tone for the rest of this post, I don't know what will...)
Hey guys!
It's been quite a while since I've posted on these boards (college. pfft.), so I figured I'd do a bulk upload of progress on all sorts of different projects I've been working on over my small hiatus.
Hold on to your butts...things are about to get awesome.
Star Wars: Merr-Sonn Munitions Power 5 heavy Blaster Pistol:
The Merr-Sonn Power 5 blaster is the standard sidearm for Imperial TIE Pilots, Officers, and Bridge Crewmen.
-Similar to my Han Solo DL-44 build (found HERE), this blaster replica was made by modifying an airsoft replica of a German C96 Broom handled Mauser. Internal firing mechanisms have been removed to make sure it's comic-con friendly.
-Blast suppressor, barrel extension, code disc, knobs, buttons, cable connector, and side grips were all printed on my ORION. Files were designed by fellow Legion member Gustavo, and can be found with his other designs on Shapeways HERE.
-Power cable used was just a 1/4" spiraling audio cable.
-Handle pulls back, trigger pulls, clip is removable, and slide still functions just to look cool. As previously stated, it doesn't actually fire pellets anymore.
-Primed, painted, an weathered buy yours truly.

Star Wars: 3/4 Scale Merr-Sonn Munitions Power 5 heavy Blaster Pistol:
This was an accident that I made the best of. In ordering my airsoft pistols for my Power 5 build, I found one that had a full metal body and was less than $20! AWESOME!.... Except for the fact that when it came in the mail, it turned out to be 3/4 scale. BOOO....
Instead of wasting it or sending it back, I just made a 3/4 scale replica of the blaster.
This one is made exactly the same way as it's larger brother, except, well, smaller!

Star Wars: Rebels Jedi Holocron:
In the Star Wars universe, Holocrons hold information and training for Jedi or Sith, depending on the creators. They often times will have moving parts when "unlocked" by the Force powers generated by the individual using them.
-A video of the actual Rebels TV model can be found HERE.
-Files for this build were also designed by Gustavo, and can be found on Shapeways HERE.
-All parts were printed on my ORION.
I don't have any picture of this build, just a video I uploaded to YouTube, HERE.
Firefly: Frontier Model B "Liberty Hammer" (A.K.A., Malcolm Reynolds' Pistol):
The trusty sidearm of Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds, the Liberty Hammer has carried bullets for many a man who couldn't outrun them. It aims to misbehave on a level that most folk wouldn't reckon to understand.
-Files found on Thingiverse HERE
-The original file was lacking some major details and was overall WAY too small of a scale, so I added some of my own bits to spiffy it up a little and fixed the scaling problem.
-100% printed, and all on my ORION.
-Smoothed out using layers of spot glazing putty and filler primer
-Hand painted and weathered by yours truly, using acrylic paints and bronze rub-n'-buff

Star Wars: Replacement E-11 Accessories:
The E-11 is the standard blaster carried by Imperial Stormtroopers from the Star Wars universe. I have a Stormtrooper costume, and I carry a resin E-11 kit made by a European company. Unfortunately, a few of the parts on my blaster have broken off over the years due to the wear and tear of pulling it in and out of the holster while not being able to see very well with my helmet on.
I printed some replacement parts on my ORION with Stainless Steel PLA (found HERE), glued them on, and repainted the whole thing. Now it's good as new and you can't even tell what parts were replaced!

That was all a lot, I know. But htanks for stopping by!
I'm looking forward to reading what you all think of what I've been up to lately with my ORION, and I'll be sure to keep things regularly up to date on these boards form now on
