Heatsink and fan for extruder stepper

Post by stonewater »

I was thinking of using an old Pentium 4 cooling fan and heatsink on the extruder motor.... like this one : http://www.telecommander.com/pics/links ... 423fan.htm I was thinking arctic silver to mount it to the back... since I have a V1 soon to be in an enclosure I was also thinking about moving the extruder on top of the printer to keep it cool.

any thoughts would be appreciated.

Robotdigg also has cheaper ones that are 40mm with no holes or anything.
