Ok, I have no idea what's going on. (Link to live stream of issue happening at bottom)

I'm using Simplify3d V3.
One is printing PLA, one is printing ABS.
Printing the same file on both, it appears they both stop at about 8 mm.
The printer continues to go, but it stops extruding on both machines.

Is it possible it's the file? I have had this issue with other prints on the rostock max v2, ordered a e3d v6(but the thermistor broke during assembly) so I thought I'd try it with a different filament.
It was printing great layers, saw no issues, put it up on youtube streaming so I could check in on it and it just stops.

Any thoughts? Is it simplify3d? I use it at work with a wide range of printers and have never had such an issue(Makerbot, flashforge dreamer, leapfrog, printrbot).

I appreciate any ideas. I have a print that I need to have done tomorrow(actually need 3 copies) and bought the Orion on good faith that it was built well from the factory. My guess is maybe the file? Would anyone be willing to test it on their machine? It is something I had designed for a customer. I'm running it through Netfabb repair service now to test.

One possibility is that there are many retractions due to those lines of support underneath the object. If there are too many retractions, and your extruder motor hasn't been set and tensioned properly, you can grind right through the filament when there is too much retraction going on too often.

One other possibility that you could be encountering is what is known as "heat creep" which is when the filament is allowed to heat up in the hotend too far up the heatbreak, which allows pressure to build up where it is not supposed to. Sometimes this is caused by printing at too high of a temperature that the hotend cannot keep the heatbreak cool like it should.

With these two possibilities in mind, you can first try to disable retraction and see if the print is able to make it past that point. It will probably have pretty bad stringing, but if it makes it beyond the current point, then you can modify your retraction settings to see if that can fix your issue. In the other instance, since you did not mention any real specifics on your printing settings (temperature, printing speed, etc.), I do not know how hot your are printing, but I find 210C on the hotend and 60C on the heated bed to be sufficient for most of my prints for PLA.

What does the extruder motor do?

Does not move at all?

Moves randomly.

Moves just a little

Or moves normally but it has chewed through the filament.
