Neat stuff, and expensive! 500g = €450.00 = 505.01 USD per google conversion.

PEEK Filament
Re: PEEK Filament
So who's gonna be first to try it? I imagine the warping issues are worse than ABS or anything else. Heated chamber REQUIRED (I'm guessing).

Re: PEEK Filament
First you have to find those capable of trying it. One needs a suitable all-metal hot-end, probably using a thermocouple instead of a thermistor (reprap glass bulb types top out around 250-300C), and a bed adhesion solution that will work for PEEK at 400C. And bot may be right about the chamber being needed.
Re: PEEK Filament
got 200g of it ( and 200euro less in my pocket ).

Awesome, should post a video of it printing.duvdev wrote:got 200g of it ( and 200euro less in my pocket ).

Re: PEEK Filament
This is exciting. I hear you need chamber temps of upwards of 90 degrees!

Re: PEEK Filament
Yes you need a chamber heating. We tried to print it around 380°C, bed at 150°C and chamber at 65°C it was ok for little parts but for bigger one.. we didn t get good results
You really need a little "oven" on your printer because the warping is insane ! ( worse than PC or nylon ! )
I test a few more materials but when i ll get more news about PEEK, i ll give my feedback.

Re: PEEK Filament
I printed 5 parts at once at 395 deg c and 110 deg for the bed . the speed was a bit slow took about 7 hours and the parys came out excellent.
I use abs juice for the bed. The juice I use relatively has a high amount of transparent abs in it. No problems at all
