Used RMAX V2 Market Price

Now that SeemMeCNC is selling the fully assembled RMAX V2 for $1599, can we please use that as the baseline price for selling a used RMAX V2? I once considered (and am still considering) selling my RMAX V2 and my asking price was above $1k and I remember people here telling me that it was too expensive because it cost $999 new. The fact is $999 buys you 3 sheets of laser-cut melamine and a big pile o’ parts. But that fact is somehow lost when discussing used Max prices. The experience taught me to never buy anything in kit form. You get no warranty, and 100% of your labor value is lost according to the market. Talk about a bad deal, no more kits for me.
On that note, if there is anyone on this forum that has shipped an assembled Max, I would love to hear the details of how they did it and if the receiver any complaints of damage.

I suspect that price is "local pickup only" unless they've laid in a supply of Depleted Uranium shipping boxes...

Like everything else in life, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. On a side note, after looking through your posts, I see you've been having various issues with your build. Do you expect someone else to pay for your time and effort to build a kit that doesn't live up to your own expectations?
If you want to list it for $1600, go for it. The used v2 market will let you know if you've priced it right. I just wouldn't expect it to go for anything near what a professional SeeMeCNC Rostock Max v2 builder can do.

Good grief I actually listened to the whole thing. For a guy who doesn't have a clue he sounds pretty convincing. He had the TV-church vibe going. I will give him a call though to see how he ships them.

No issues with my printer. Only that just like your printer, my printer cannot print a 11" circle either. Because of that simple and very significant fact, it does not live up to my expectations (which were set by SeeMeCNC). But it certainly lives up to many people's expectations in spite of not being able to use the published print volume.

I built mine with all the care in the world and following all the instructions to the letter. I did not run into any issues. Like many, I did not realize there was something wrong until I tried to do a print that used the whole bed. Since the issue of not being able to print to the full 11" is so widespread, I don't see anything particularly wrong with "my build". If a "profesional SeeMeCNC builder" can do a better job at building a Rostock than I did, then the professional did not follow their own manual. No doubt they can probably build it 1/4th the time it took me, but they cannot build it better unless they used techniques not described in the manual.
In any case I'm not debating how much a used assembled Rostock should sell for, just the
baseline price for a RMAXV2 (before subtracting for the fact the it is used) should be $1,599, not $999. But whatever, the market will decide. And the market must now consider the $1599 assembled Rostock; and for that I'm thankful.

That $1599 is for local pickup. It's $1849 for freight shipping to lower 48 (see the pulldown).
Kit version is $999, so that means professional assembly is valued as $600 and packing/shipping at $250.
SeeMeCNC is also selling NEW, so there's the value of warranty and support, whatever that's worth.

You've got to consider that from a buyer's perspective, the skill and diligence of the builder you're purchasing from is entirely unknown. That's a risk and any risk involved is going to reduce the price.
If the builder is SeeMeCNC, that risk is substantially reduced and they are justified in asking a higher price than the rest of us.
Not to mention that used machines are going to have some wear and tear.

I gave up at "It's impossible to put the correct EEPROMs in".
To put it bluntly, he's a f*cking idiot and if he had comments enabled on that video, I'd tear a strip off that retarded hide of his.

BTW. I sent these videos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiq3j4j ... e=youtu.be to Steve (Part Daddy) and John Oly with the Subject Line. "You might want to have a conversation with this guy". John replied "I kind of love it and hate it at the same time"

Sadly, I think there is no such thing as a response video any longer.

I had to do some manual labor for work. Cutting cables soldering installing batteries tightening screws. So i fired up youtube and typed in rostock max, auto play was enabled and after a couple of videos this popped up. I actually listened to the whole thing and I had to share it.

After watching the video, I realized that ALL my EEPROMs were in backward. That obviously has been my problem all along. I wish the manual would have addressed this!
What a boob!
