Serious, sudden offset

So now that I got my new E3D running due to my printer breaking the stock one, I've been running it pretty solid for about a day for about a dozen or so prints coming off it. Then I just had a print fail like it did before it crashed and broke the last hot end. Knowing this, I rechecked the calibration before restarting the print, but it worked out mostly fine. Had to drop the Z about .15mm, but plate level was fine. What would cause a single level jump that far and all of a sudden?

Nevermind... it must be the gcode as the reprint just did it again in the same spot. Slic3r must have had a hiccup.

I won't say it's impossible but I've never seen Slic3r do that. That is usually due to the machine losing its alignment, commonly because of a skipped belt or a motor that missed steps, maybe because of the hot end getting caught on the part or an arm getting bound.

Too fast travel speed is usually the culprit.

So I resliced it and tried it this morning at it came out fine after the 2 failed attempts yesterday afternoon, so I'm still leaning towards Slic3r doing something funny.
