Another Printer Online!

I did my first print last night. The nickel test thing actually kinda almost looks like it should – Imagine That! There is still a fair amount of tweaking to do, but I think this will be a successful project.
A Big Thanks to John for fixing some software at a critical point in the project. I’d had enough hardware building, and when the motors wouldn’t move it was really discouraging. But all is well now, as you can see:
No pictures of the printer today. It is a terrible mess with wires everywhere and it is almost buried in a pile of tools and other construction detritus. Maybe someday.
So now it’s off to figure the best speeds, feed rates, temperatures, and all the other parameters to make this an awesome printer. There’s Christmas gifts to be made!
