I want to replace my LCD in my Rostock Max V2 with a orange colored LCD. Does anyone know where I might find such a thing?
Thanks
Ralph

What you're looking for is a 20x4 character LCD display using the HD44780 controller in orange. So try
https://www.google.com/search?q=20x4+LCD+HD44780+orange as a starting point.
Once you find it, the replacement is straightforward, but it does require unsoldering the existing one and soldering the new one in place.

Adafruit has both negative and positive (black in the background or foreground) 40x4 LCDs with RGB backlights. You can see them in this category:
https://www.adafruit.com/categories/96
Each has three pins - one each for R, G, and B. You can either hook up resistors (the value of which you'd need to calculate as the ratio of each color's presence in the color orange), or you could install micropots (variable resistors you set with a jeweler's screwdriver). Cheapest way to figure it out would be to buy one of the resistor kits, where they give you a box with dozens of different values. Probably some combination of resistances between 50 and 500 ohms would do it. Make sure you don't over-volt any of the LEDs or they'll fail early. Line voltage you deal with will be 5V, but most of them want to run on less than half of that. Use an online resistor calculator if you need help figuring it out.
This is more work than finding a straight orange LCD, but the advantage is that you can have any shade of orange, or any other color, that you want; and you can pick whether you want a positive or negative display.
