Solidoodle 3, Printrbot Play, Rostock Max for sale

Post by elmoret »

My printer collection is growing, and its time to make room for the newcomers. I'm selling the following printers:

Solidoodle 3 - $300 shipped

This guy has seen some stuff - like about 2500 hours of print time, and ~100kg of material. It has a Z-backlash mod, and comes with two swappable hotends - an E3D Litecano (installed) and a E3Dv6. The extruder stepper's fan has been upgraded, but other than that it is stock. It could use a cleaning, but is otherwise in good condition. Has a high quality, handcrafted enclosure with a hole cut for a blower fan, yielding a negative pressure enclosure to deal with any fumes that may occur.

Printrbot Play - $300 shipped

Bought this to see what the Summer 2015 hype was about. Pretty impressive printer, though it came with some issues that were a bit frustrating to track down. Printrbot doesn't grind flats into their Z-rod, so the coupling was slipping on the rod. I ground a flat to fix that. Additionally the hotend was not mounted securely, so it would work its way down while printing and then crash into the bed on homing. That has also been sorted out. Around 2kg of material has been run through this. I'm also including a 40w heated bed that I never got around to installing.

Rostock Max - $600 shipped

Bought it used, so unknown hours. It comes with a spool of ABS, an extra power supply, printed manual, soldering iron, and a half a dozen various nozzles.

Hmm. I was told it was a v2, though upon further inspection it seems to have been partly converted from v1 to v2. For example, it has the extruder stepper mount shown here:

http://www.seemecnc.com/products/full-u ... ax-to-a-v2

But it seems to have the v1 LCD mount, v1 carriages and v1 top section.

I'll edit the post to remove version references for this hybrid mutt.

The late V1s do have a top extrudder mount.

Mine has it from stock.

What you have here is not a V2, nor a partially converted V1. It is a V1 from probably late 2013.

The V1 assembly guide 2nd edition already detailed the top mount, and was issued in november 2013.
