Working slowly on building an injection molding machine. I figure that injection molding is the best way to go about tackling my ROV build

You should mount that at the end of three sets of parallel arms such that it can be instructed to move in a plane while simultaneously ejecting plastic.

Nice! I'm interested to see the results you get.
I love this little setup.

Looks awesome so far, at first I thought you were bolting 3 plates of aluminum together but then I checked out the photobucket thing and saw you made it from a single big round bar.
Have you done calculations for injection pressure, clamping force, fill time, ect?
Will it be hand operated or automated?

Injection pressure 5,000 psi. Clamping force, bit difficult to figure out but with the toggle clamp .125" above the horizontal lock point it is 25 tons. Injection speed hmm didnt look into it yet.
Its going to be a manual machine, but maybe one day i will automate it.

I did some temporary wiring to test things out, well it took 20 min from cold to hit 300C......Slower than I would have liked but should still work ok

Yep, DavidF I agree, the video you shared is a better sized machine! Love it.
