Hello!

I got my Rostock MAX V2 in mid-September, after my long hunt for the best value 3D printer. I assembled it completely stock except for adding some Astrosyn stepper dampers, but I wasn't very happy with how well I had built it, and I didn't post about it because I didn't think it was worth it. I was thinking about many upgrades to do for it, and after amassing a collection of them that I kept putting off to do all at once, I began a complete teardown of the printer.

I just finished the teardown today, and I plan to do a build log of the rebuilding with all of the mods. There are a few that have yet to arrive, but I currently have a Smoothieboard, E3D-V6, and an EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2.

It's nice to now be a part of the community.

So you are actually building the printer for the second time, as a member of this Forum you have a right
to ask questions when you get confused or need help. We will be glad to help you.

I am in Maryland as well (Howard County). I built my Rostock Max from the kit and it is working very well for me. If you need some assistance i may be able to help out. It does take some adjusting ongoing monitoring. With all the rapid movement of the arms and skates, things will loosen after a while.
I felt that to really understand the 3D printer, it was necessary to build one. I learned a great deal along the way.
