I have just begun building my printer, and am documenting the process on the forum

My first question is which hot end to install at first. I have the stock hot end, and an E3D v6 hot end and mount.
For a first time builder, does starting with the E3D complicate, or simplify getting a new printer up and running?

Simplify in my opinion. The E3D is very easy to set up - no silicones needed. The thermistor is fastened securely with a screw as is the heater cartridge. You can assemble it and start to print immediately since you don't have to wait for silicone to cure. I've never had one fail.

I have only used the stock hotend. I have about 1820 hours on the original Orion hot end without a single jam and still use it daily. I don't have any printing needs over Abs and mostly use pla so haven't needed to change from this simple hotend. I did upgrade to a cartridge heater instead of the resistors right from the begining.
