I was just invited to this group on FB. It's not managed by myself or SeeMeCNC, but it is a nice idea. Obviously, the official forum will continue to be the main channel of communication for technical conversations, but a group like this might be a nice way for people to communicate about other things and post a photostream of their projects.... Depends on which flavor of social media you prefer, I guess.
I joined. Let's see what it turns into.

I respectfully disagree jim... My 2 cents is that social medial does more to muddy the waters of communication than improve said communication.
Re: Rostock Max Owner's Group on Facebook
Social Media = ephemeral
Discusion Forum = eternal
I was added to the FB group and I'll likely use it to post photos occasionally. But it doesn't make sense to post stuff there that might help others. This is the same issue with Google+ and even the google groups is not search friendly or organized sufficiently.

I don't at all expect it to be a replacement for the forum. FaceBook isn't a discussion platform, it's a show and tell carousel. It's easier for media and pictures, and the forum is easier for typing and talking. Two different animals, but each with their own place.

I totally agree! I am never ever able to find something back on facebook. But it is nice to see progression of someones mod adventures on FB. If you want REAL information (to read or to share), the forum is the best place.
I am DeltaCon, I have a delta, my name is Con, I am definitely PRO delta!
