This is some very excellent and thorough research. It looks like the stock Rostock one is already pretty narrow (~7mm x 9mm) although the one used here is narrower still (9mm x 3mm). Are there any existing "sharp nozzle" blower fan pieces for the Rostock, or is it time to hit OpenSCAD?

The stock nozzle for the v2 is a "sharp nozzle" duct.

Yes - and FWIW, it works GREAT! I guess I am just wondering "how LOOOOOW can you GOOOO ?!?" - i.e., there's got to be some lower limit to how narrow it can be, and now I wish I had infinite time to print a whole series to test it.

I bet if you asked nice, they'd send you the IGES file of the nozzle so you could hack it. It wouldn't be that hard to change the nozzle such that you could print "tips" with different sized orifices. It could slip over the end of the base nozzle structure like a pen cap of sorts.
