Re: Rostock MAX V3 Extruder Chewing Up Filament

spent time working with JJ on my problem and after trying everything with the HE280 believing it to be clogging. turned out the EZR was the problem.
I've gotten a bunch of spare parts (firmly believe in having spares of everything I can). So I replaced the EZR with another and the chewing up filament stopped and I've been printing all day (allot to catch up on including a DIY Laser Engraver).
After everything was working I took a look (sorry no pics) and found micro shards of PLA in the extruder, I couldn't see them when it was in place. I took it apart and in the filament channel, around the bearing and other places where extremely fine shards of pla.
for me I learn the jamming can be the extruder itself in addition to not seating the PTFE tube correctly.
I'm back to being a happy camper now. just need to put the .5mm nozzle back on. I switched to a .7mm too see if that would help. it's didn't btw
