Enclosure for V3

Has anyone done one yet?

I really like this nice compact one and even did a re-mix of the bottom bracket to use as a top bracket to clear the skates.

Unfortunately (before printing them out) I realized that the layer fans would hit the sides with such a tight fit.

I think printing two sets of the bottom brackets here should do it. Let me know if that doesn't work, and if there's a screw pattern you'd like to see if that's not the case, and I'll get it cleaned up for you as quickly as I can. The layer fans will still hit at the furthest extents, but it gives a good printable radius and can have all the panels made from a single 4x4. Otherwise you need 3 2x4 sheets of material.

I think I'm going to make some fan shrouds and move the layer fans up and in. Then I should get nearly full size with the tight enclosure.

I made some drapes with pleather and green painter's tape (just so the adhesive won't leave a trace). Works pretty well to help the ambient temperature remain stable. I think I used 15" by 28" panels. Just long enough to tape at the top and bottom.

I also used painter's tape to insulate the bottom of my bed support. No insulation. Just trapping the air inside the tape. I eliminated my cold spots (mostly due to the power supply fan) and noticed a 10ish degree swing just by doing this on the left side of the bed support. Time to insulate ("apply tape") the right side, as well.

(and apparently my phone doesn't want to output pictures in the correct orientation - sorry!)

Noircogi, your work is truly appreciated. I've got all the parts printed and the fan relocation installed, the acrylic is arriving tomorrow from tapplastics. Will post some pictures here when I finish up the mods.

Some pics of the finished enclosure, it is working very well. Seems to be hold temp decently, although it could probably be improved.

Test fitting before tightening the brackets, too much work to fix the sideways pictures.

Modified the hinge a bit to bring the screws further away from the edges on the door, rounded and polished the edges with 320 and then 600 grit sandpaper.

Bowden tube, might make a gasket for this to keep more heat in.

Finished.
