PEEK fan

I know this is an old issue, but I cannot find the topic with the solution. After adding the PEEK fan, the hot end will not come up to ABS temperature. Gets as high as 220 C and that's it. If the PEEK fan holder was shaped more like the layer fan shroud, it would work better, instead of cooling the whole area as it does now.
Could someone please point me to the proper topic? Thanks. Mike

Mike, you might want to put a wrap of Kapton tape on the hot end that will cover the aluminum barrel area between the PEEK / aluminum interface down to the top of the heater block. That should insulate the hot end enough to prevent the PEEK fan from knocking your temps down.

My PEEK fan is on the blink. Wired it up, didn't go on (printer hooked up to 'puter, flipped on the hot end switch.)
Checked the wiring--all good.
Tried the other fan with the wiring--to see if wiring was good. It worked. Tried the PEEK fan out side the fan shroud...thought maybe it was getting too squeezed?
Damn...where can I get a PEEK fan? Does anyone know of a part number at Radio Shack??
Thanx

Got my 25mm spares from Amazon. RS does not carry this fan, it is not real common.
McMaster-Carr has a very high quality fan but it is at an extremely high price.
You should think about a spare for the 40mm fan for the Rambo. Mine lasted 3 weeks and was very noisy, replace with a Noctua fan and only do it once.

thx!
I'll see if SeeNC will send one, first. I'll check into the 40mm. Mine's loud, too.
