My EZstruder stepper was getting so hot it heated the hobbed gear and caused the PLA to become so soft it could not feed itself. This caused several jams. I added a heat sink (with Artic Silver polysynthetic thermal compound - used for pc cpu's) & 5 volt fan to cool things down.

nice work! where did you get the sink part from and which wires did you piggy to hook it in?

And because I did not know I would need a fan up there I did not have a 5 volt wire pair up there. I used a wall wart like this: http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores ... 2217730_-1
